Certified Massage Therapist and Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner
Specializing in Advanced Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Jin Shin Jyutsu, and Oncology Massage in San Francisco
People come to me for help in achieving and maintaining optimal health and improving their quality of life through advanced therapeutic massage and bodywork.
My clients are accustomed to successes in their life journey and expect the highest quality of service in return for their investment. They are looking to mitigate their stresses and recover from the effects of hard work, play, or other hurdles keeping them from feeling great, performing their best, and living life to its fullest and healthiest.
What sets me apart from the rest is my holistic approach and customized service combined with nurturing touch and highly effective techniques, resulting in your improved quality of life. I measure success of my work not only by the response clients have during a session, but more importantly by the positive changes they experience in their day to day lives. When your stress is reduced and physical and mental tensions (or other symptoms) are eased, you feel better. When you feel better and are more grounded and connected to your body, you laugh, smile, play more, move more freely, perform better, think clearer, sleep more soundly, show more kindness and love, and do the things you want to do. You also heal better from any injuries or illnesses you might encounter. And hopefully by feeling better, you experience a more sustainable state of wellbeing.
People living with cancer or who have had treatment for cancer in the past can experience safe and effective massage and bodywork.
I have advanced training in working with people who are living with cancer, are undergoing treatment, or have had treatment in the past. Massage therapy is safe for people with cancer if provided in a gentle, conscientious manner. This is why I took advanced, specialized training in oncology massage. Providing safe bodywork for cancer patients often involves making adjustments to what is considered a “regular” or “normal” massage, including adjustments to pressure, technique, amount of time spent working in a particular area, positioning, and more. With my training in oncology massage, I know when and how to make these important adjustments. In some cases, a subtler form of bodywork, such as energy work, may be indicated as an alternative to the tissue manipulation of massage. The energy balancing work I am trained and experienced in providing is Jin Shin Jyutsu, which has been found to be an effective adjunct to conventional cancer treatment. The combination of my advanced training in oncology massage and the Jin Shin Jyutsu allows me to offer safe and effective bodywork treatment for cancer patients and survivors.
I would be honored to be part of your wellness team.
